Earlier detection, faster response to wildfires

Wildfires are becoming more frequent and severe due to climate change. When fires are detected too late, the effects are severe and far-reaching: high CO₂ emissions, loss of forests and biodiversity, and major economic and social damage. Existing fire detection systems often don’t work well together, making it harder to respond before fires grow.

Ororatech’s approach

Ororatech is changing how wildfires are detected and tracked. The company deploys a network of satellites with thermal sensors. This enables wildfires to be detected almost immediately anywhere in the world. Fires can be identified within minutes, even at an early stage. This gives governments and firefighters more time to intervene quickly and prevent fires from spreading.

Our role

Scalable technological solutions are essential for protecting nature. These types of solutions also help improve global protection against the dangers of climate change. That’s why Rabo Investments invested in Ororatech in 2025. With this investment, Ororatech can expand its satellite network faster and make its digital platform available to more governments and organizations worldwide.

Preventing damage

Today, Ororatech’s technology is used to monitor and protect more than 613 million contracted hectares of forest. With a growing number of international clients, such as Suzano and CMPC, and government contracts in Canada and Greece, the platform enables earlier intervention. This helps limit emissions from wildfires and reduce permanent damage to ecosystems and communities. By combining speed, scale, and advanced technology, Ororatech makes it possible to take action where it matters most.
