Free Switching Service

It’s great you have a payment account or want to open one with Rabobank! Do you want your main payments to go through this account? Good idea! We understand you think there’s a lot to organize, but don't worry. Leave it to us. We’ll transfer all your credit and debit payments from your old to your new payment account free of charge. It saves you a great deal of work.

    What does the Switching Service involve?

    We arrange the following

    We do most of the work for you when you switch banks.

      We will inform your old bank about your decision to switch as well as all the companies and organizations that credit or debit your account. Convenient, right? If someone transfers money to you, they will receive a message that you have a new account. That’s another thing you don’t have to worry about. All aspects involved in your switch will be arranged within about two weeks to three months. You fill in your details, we do the rest. No hassle at all! Credit and debit payments linked to your old account will be transferred to your new account for 13 months. This ensures your automatic payment transactions continue as usual. You will receive a message one month before the end of that period. It gives you time to double-check everything.

    There are some matters we cannot arrange for you. You have to take care of them yourself.

      Don’t forget to cancel your old account. This avoids double fees. Transfer your balance. Make sure that you have sufficient balance in your new account so your direct debits can be paid. Set-up your automatic transfers again. You can easily arrange this yourself in the Rabo App or Online Banking. Tell family and friends about your new account number. Forgot someone? Don’t worry, we'll let you know if anyone still transfers money to your old account.
