You can increase or lower your debit card limit yourself.
You can change a limit temporarily or permanently. If you opt for a temporary change, it takes effect immediately. If you make a permanent change, it takes effect from the next working day.
Different limits apply to payments and withdrawals.
You can lower the limits on your debit card to €0. You can also increase them. You can increase the withdrawal limit to a maximum of €5,000, and the payment limit to a maximum of €10,000. After the end date set for the temporary increase, the standard limit will automatically apply again.
You can use your card for card reader transactions and cash withdrawals until you reach your debit card limit. It’s not always possible to withdraw the entire amount in a single ATM transaction. In that case, you can make multiple withdrawals.
Good to know: you can withdraw large amounts only at Geldmaat ATMs. You can withdraw up to €250 once a day at other Dutch banks.
You can change the limit on your child’s debit card yourself. Click on ‘Change my child’s card limit’ below to adjust the limit temporarily or permanently.
You can increase the withdrawal limit to a maximum of €500, and the payment limit to a maximum of €1,250.
