These balance brackets and interest rates apply from 1 August 2022. They are subject to change.
How does Rabobank calculate the interest?
We calculate the interest on your account based on your daily currency balance. This is the balance on which the bank pays or calculates interest and is based on the actual number of days in a month and year. For 2024 we count 366 days because it is a leap year.
The interest rates on this page apply per year, but because we pay the interest on your payment account per month the actual interest rate may be different.
For the Rabo Direct Package, Rabo Basic Package, Rabo Total Package, Rabo Premium Package, Rabo Student Package and the Rabo Youth Account, we calculate the interest based on balance brackets. Each balance bracket has its own interest rate, and the balance brackets and interest rates may change. We will inform you before any change takes effect.
What if negative interest returns in the future? The amount of interest due is reserved on your account to pay the interest. It is not possible to withdraw your balance in full at that time.
