Your rights

You have rights when it comes to your personal data. For example, you have the right to ask businesses what data they have on you and ask them to change or delete that data.

GDPR and personal data

The GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) is a European law that contains rules on how businesses and organizations must handle personal data. Personal data is any data that can be traced to an individual, such as your name, address or date of birth, as well as information about your health or your citizen service number (BSN).

Businesses, associations and the government must handle this physically stored or digital data with care. They need to make it clear what data they have and what they do with it. They must also keep your data safe so that your privacy remains protected.

Overview of your rights

You can ask us if we process your personal data. If that is the case, you can view that data. Did you know that you can view and modify some data yourself in Rabo Internet Banking or the Rabo App?

To do this:

  1. Log in and click on ‘Settings’
  2. Select ‘Personal details’
  3. Go to 'Contact details' to view and edit your data

If you are unable to find the data, please submit a request to us.

How to submit a request

First check whether you can view or update your data yourself in Rabo Online Banking or the Rabo App.

If that is not possible, you can submit a request. You can do this in three ways:

1. Online via Rabo Online Banking or the Rabo App

Use this form ‘Request GDPR rights’. If you are logged in, we will pre-fill some of your details for you.

2. Online through our website
Are you no longer a customer, or do you not have access to Rabo Online Banking? In that case, use the form ‘Request GDPR rights’ on our website.

3. By post:
Send your request to your local Rabobank branch. You can find the address on our contact page. Please include the following in your letter:

Which right you want to exercise The reason for your request, described as specifically as possible Exactly which data your request concerns

Access to other types of data

Do you want access to data that contains more than just your own personal information?

In that case, you may file an access request under Article 194 of the Dutch Code of Civil Procedure.

This is only possible in exceptional situations — for example, if you cannot determine your legal position without this information.

Not every legal dispute automatically gives the right to access these documents.
