When you open a joint account, you have a payment account for 2 account holders. You have the same rights and obligations. For example, you can both withdraw money from the account. You are also both responsible for any account deficits.

You can convert your current payment account into a joint account by adding an account holder to your payment account. You can also convert a joint account into a personal payment account by removing an account holder. We’ll be happy to tell you how to do this.

Opening an additional payment account offers benefits. For example, keeping different expenses separate gives you clearer overview. A payment account forms part of your payment package. It doesn’t matter which payment package you have. What if you’re already a Rabobank customer and want to open an additional payment account? It may be easier and faster than you think.
