Teach your child to save with the Rabo Savings Account

Get your child into the habit of saving today. If you want your child to start saving, this is possible with a Rabo Savings Account. Your child will be able to transfer money, check their balance and save automatically. A Rabo Savings Account can be opened alongside a Rabo Rainbow Account.

In order to open a Rabo Savings Account, your child must have a Rabo Youth Account with access to Rabo Online Banking. You can then simply open a Rabo Savings Account. Your child can also apply for the savings account. In that case, you must give permission as your child’s parent. Children aged 16 or over can open the bank account themselves.

You can still have a Rabo Savings Account even if you do not bank online

Building up a buffer for the future is a good idea even if you do not bank online. In that case, you can still use an ‘offline’ Rabo Savings Account. Some limitations apply, however. For example, you do not have the daily insight and convenience provided by piggy banks. Moreover, if you want to withdraw money from your savings, you will not be able to access the money for several days. If you want to open an ‘offline’ Rabo Savings Account, please call us. We will be happy to help.

If you bank online, your Rabo Savings Account will automatically be an online account. In that case, you cannot opt for an ‘offline’ Rabo Savings Account.
