Inform us of your choice
You can make your choice in the 14-day period leading up to the end date of the Rabo Deposit, and no later than the actual end date. If you have at least €250,000 in your Rabo Deposit, you can make your choice in the seven-day period before your money is released.
Decide what to do with the money from your Rabo Deposit
If you do not need your money yet, you can choose to continue saving with a Rabo Deposit. Choose a new end date, and you will once again earn a fixed rate of interest on your deposit. You can also make an additional one-off deposit.
If you want to withdraw a portion of your deposit and continue saving the rest, we will credit the portion you want to withdraw, plus interest, to the agreed account following the end date.
We will agree a new end date for the portion you continue to save. A minimum balance of €5,000 applies to a Rabo Deposit.
You do not need to do anything. Following the end date we will automatically transfer the balance of the deposit, plus interest, to the contra account you provided to us.
If you want to view or change the account to which we will transfer the balance and interest, you can do this online. Go to your Rabo Deposit account, select 'Account details' to view your designated contra account and then change it if necessary.
How to change your free booking account or interest account
We will automatically transfer the balance and the interest to you the day after the end date. The balance will be transferred to your free booking account. This is the account number you have provided to us. We will credit the interest to your interest account. You can view and change these accounts in the Rabo App or Rabo Online Banking.
Log in to Rabo Online Banking or the Rabo App
You can view and change your free booking account by clicking on ‘After end date amount will be transferred to account’. To view and change the account to which interest is credited, tap ‘Interest account’.
If you want the balance or interest to be credited to your account with another bank, please contact us.
Have you not yet informed us of your choice?
Are you still not sure what you want to do with your savings? Or has the end date already passed and you forgot to inform us of your choice? No problem. We will automatically transfer your savings, plus interest, to the account number you have provided to us.
You will not be able to extend your Rabo Deposit after the end date, but you can always open a new Rabo Deposit (Dutch).
