Phishing
Criminals ‘fish’ for your personal data, which is called phishing. You might, for example, receive an email from Rabobank. At least, it looks like it comes from us. This email, letter, or text message was not sent by us but by a criminal. This person is trying to get hold of your personal data or security codes, such as your PIN, card number, login code, or signature code.
How to recognize a genuine link from Rabobank
- Check where the link in your message goes
Move the arrow on your screen over the link. This will show the URL (web address) of the website you will be taken to. You may see the URL right where the link is or at the bottom left of your screen. - Check if the URL is genuine
In a UR, the most important part is always in front of the first '/'. For a Rabobank URL, the following will always appear in front of this first ‘/’ altijd: rabobank.nl.
