What if you made a payment with your credit card and your purchase was stolen, broken or lost? Your purchases are often insured.
The 3 types of credit card insurance cover
Did you buy something with your Rabobank credit card and is it broken, stolen or lost? The purchase protection insurance covers you for this.
The damage, theft or loss is covered if:
Compensation for damages
You pay an excess of €50. The remainder is reimbursed by the insurer. This means that you pay the first €50 and the insurer will reimburse the rest.
The insurance covers a maximum of:
- €2,500 per claim for video, computer and audio equipment
- €250 per claim for cell phones

What if your flight is delayed by more than 4 hours and you miss your connection? If you paid for the flight with your credit card, the necessary costs for e.g. food or overnight hotel accommodation will be reimbursed. You are insured up to a maximum of €250 per travelling party.
The delay must be longer than:
What if your baggage arrives at the destination after you? If you paid for the flight with your credit card, the necessary costs for clothing or toiletries, for example, will be reimbursed. You will be reimbursed a maximum of €150 per travelling party. This only applies in case of a baggage delay of at least 4 hours. What if your baggage does not arrive within 48 hours? You will be reimbursed a maximum of €500 per travelling party.
Tip! Only the necessary purchases you make within 4 days of arrival are insured.

Tip: To be reimbursed for your purchases, you’ll need to show the receipts or a statement from your credit card.
Previous damage claims
Have you previously submitted a damage claim and have some questions about it? Contact the insurer Chubb by telephone on working days between 09:00 and 17:00. Quote the number you received from the person who handled the damage claim you reported.
