Change a Rabo Short-Term Overdraft

Set your own overdraft limit

Your overdraft limit can range from €275 to €2,500, depending on your financial and personal situation. We look at include your income and outgoings (expenses), among other things.

If you would like an overdraft facility for your payment account but you do not have one yet, you can apply for a Rabo Short-Term Overdraft.

How to change your overdraft limit

  1. Click on ‘Reduce your overdraft limit’ below.
  2. Select the account with the overdraft limit you want to adjust.
  3. Choose your new overdraft limit and then click on ‘OK, I understand’.
  4. Check the agreement and select 'Sign'. Confirmation will be sent to your 'Messages'.

Keep the following in mind

    You only pay interest on the amount by which you are overdrawn. Your balance must be positive for 24 hours at least once every 3 months. You can only change your overdraft limit if you have activated the overdraft facility. You can change your overdraft limit as often as you want through Rabo Online Banking. If you do not have access to Rabo Online Banking, please contact us. Make sure that your new overdraft limit can cover your current balance. For example, you may not reduce your overdraft limit to €500 if you are already overdrawn by more than that. Your overdraft limit is registered with the Dutch Credit Registration Office (BKR).
