Change a Rabo Short-Term Overdraft

Set your own overdraft limit
Your overdraft limit can range from €275 to €2,500, depending on your financial and personal situation. We look at include your income and outgoings (expenses), among other things.
If you would like an overdraft facility for your payment account but you do not have one yet, you can apply for a Rabo Short-Term Overdraft.
How to change your overdraft limit
- Click on 'Increase your overdraft limit' below.
- Select the account with the overdraft limit you want to increase.
- We will contact the Dutch Credit Registration Office (BKR) in Tiel to check if you have any loans and whether there have been any payment arrears. We also check our own warning systems.
- Answer the questions about your finances and your personal situation. Next, select your limit and give your approval.
- A SECCI form will be sent to your ‘Messages’. It sets out all the key features and financial details. This form makes it easy to compare our offer with offers from other parties during the 24-hour waiting period.
- Once the waiting period has ended you will be sent the agreement to sign. This agreement will be sent to you if you apply for a new overdraft limit or apply to increase your existing overdraft limit. The offer is valid for 14 days.
- Check the agreement and select 'Sign'. Confirmation will be sent to your 'Messages'. After you have signed, it may take up to 12 hours for your overdraft limit to be adjusted.
- Open the Rabo App and log in.
- Go to Settings > Payment Accounts and tap 'Reduce Rabo Short-Term Overdraft'
- Select the account with the overdraft limit you want to adjust.
- Choose your overdraft limit.
- Check the agreement and select 'Sign'. Confirmation will be sent to your 'Messages'.
- Open the Rabo App and log in.
- Go to Settings > Payment accounts and tap ‘Increase Rabo Short-Term Overdraft’
- Select the account with the overdraft limit you want to adjust.
