Emergency cash outside the Netherlands
If you lose your debit card and credit card while you are travelling, you can still get money in the form of emergency cash.
How to apply for emergency cash
We can be reached 24/7 on +31 88 722 67 67 (local rate).
Tell us your account number, where you are and how much you want to withdraw (up to a maximum of €6,200).
We will then block your card.
This is usually within two working days, at a Western Union branch near you. Take valid proof of your identity with you, such as your passport.

We cannot provide emergency cash in every country
Emergency cash can be provided in almost all European countries (exceptions are Estonia, Luxembourg and Serbia) and also in the United States. In some countries, however, such as Brazil, providing emergency cash is not possible. Moreover, special rules apply for emergency cash in Spain and Italy. If you are in a country where emergency cash requests are not possible, ask a family member or friend to transfer money to you.
