Weekends and public holidays: money transfers and opening hours

1. You transfer money from your savings account to your payment account, both at Rabobank: the amount is credited to your account immediately.
2. You transfer €20 to an account of a bank that supports direct payment processing (Instant Payments): the amount is credited to the recipient’s account immediately.
3. You pay a payment request of €10: the amount is credited to the recipient’s account immediately.
4. You have a periodic transfer or have scheduled a transfer on a specific date. This transfer is made on the day that it is scheduled. For a transfer to a bank that supports direct payment processing (Instant Payments), the amount is credited to the recipient’s account immediately. For a transfer to a Dutch bank that does not support direct payment processing the amount is credited to the recipient's account on the same day on working days and the next working day on the weekend.
5. You transfer euros to an account of a Dutch bank that does not support direct payment processing: the amount is often credited to the recipient’s account the next working day.
6. You transfer euros to an account of a bank outside the Netherlands, but within the SEPA area: the other bank determines when the money is credited to the recipient’s account. We have no influence on that.
7. You pay in a foreign currency or outside the SEPA area (World Payment): this is subject to different processing times. The bank receiving the money determines when your payment is credited to the recipient’s account.

* Transferring money in euros to a Dutch or European bank that supports Instant Payments, such as ING, ABN AMRO, Volksbank, Knab, Triodos, Nederlandse Waterschapsbank, BNG Bank, Leaseplan Bank, Volkswagen Bank, Van Lanschot Kempen, Bunq, Deutsche Bank Nederland, KBC Bank Nederland or Société Générale Nederland.

** Transferring money to a Dutch or European bank that does not support Instant Payments.

*** Transferring money in foreign currency to banks within and outside the SEPA area, or in euros to banks outside the SEPA area. On these days we process World Payments, except for payments where the currency of the account is not the same as the currency of the payment. We have no influence on when the amount is credited to the recipient’s account. This is determined by the other bank.

**** We do not process World Payments in euros. We do process payments in a currency other than euros. However, if 1 May is a public holiday in the beneficiary’s country, processing may be delayed.
