Transfer money on weekends and public holidays

1. You transfer money from your savings account to your payment account, both of which are with Rabobank: the amount is credited to your account immediately.
2. You transfer €20 to an account with a bank that supports direct payment processing (instant payments): the amount is credited to the recipient’s account immediately.
3. You pay a payment request for €10: the amount is credited to the recipient’s account immediately.
4. You make a periodic transfer or schedule a transfer for a specific date: this transfer is made on the day that it is scheduled. If a transfer is made to a bank that supports direct payment processing (instant payments), the amount is credited to the recipient’s account immediately. If a transfer is made to a Dutch bank that does not support direct payment processing, the amount is credited to the recipient's account on the same day (on working days) or the next working day (on weekends).
5. You transfer euros to an account with a Dutch bank that does not support direct payment processing: the amount is usually credited to the recipient’s account the next working day.
6. You transfer euros to an account with a bank outside the Netherlands but within the SEPA area: the other bank determines when the money is credited to the recipient’s account. We cannot influence this.
7. You make a payment in a foreign currency or to an account with a bank outside the SEPA area (World Payment): different processing times apply. The bank that receives the money determines when your payment is credited to the recipient’s account.

** Transfer of money to a Dutch or European bank that currently does not support instant payments.

Your payment is a World Payment if you transfer money in foreign currency to a bank within or outside the SEPA region, or you transfer money in euros to a bank outside the SEPA region.

We make a distinction between:

We cannot influence when the amount will be credited to the recipient’s account. This is determined by the other bank.

* If this day falls on a weekend, the World Payment will be made the next working day.

However, if May 1 is a public holiday in the beneficiary’s country, processing may be delayed.
