Close your savings account

Contact us to close your account.

If you close your Rabo Goal Savings Account or Rabo Deposit Account ahead of schedule there may be fees involved. For more information, check the terms and conditions of your savings account.

This depends on the type of savings account. You cannot simply close a savings account that was held by a deceased family member or friend. Other important factors include whether you are an heir and whether you are a joint account holder.

1. Click on the link below to access the page on our savings accounts.
2. Select the savings account you want to close.
3. You will now be directed to the product page for the account.
4. Open the ‘Terms and Conditions’ tab.
5. Select ‘Product characteristics and terms and conditions’ for the savings account.
6. The document you can see contains more details about how to close an account in the event of a death.

You can view and download your statements to a limited extent. You can download monthly summaries for the last 15 months as PDFs in Rabo Online Banking. You can also create a customized overview of a specific period. You can go back up to seven years. We are working on changing this to eight years. You can create a customized overview for multiple accounts (savings accounts as well as payment accounts) at the same time.

In that case, you will receive a notification when you close it online. Change the contra account yourself online or contact us.

You can close your savings account online no matter where you are - even if you are outside the Netherlands. If you want to close your savings account but you do not use the Rabo App or Rabo Online Banking, please contact us and we will close the savings account for you.
